I’ve recently started a webseries interviewing friends and colleagues I’ve known and worked with over the years. This episode features Gordon Chambers esteemed Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter. Gordon Chambers was kind enough to sit with me in his parlor in Brooklyn and show me the piano that supports his creativity. Gordon also told stories of working with icons like Whitney Houston and Patti Labelle and what you can expect from a Gordon Chambers performance.
I first met and worked with Gordon when I was engineering for money at Chung King House Of Metal in the mid 90′s. Neither of us recall exactly which projects we worked on together.
Today is Gordon’s BIrthday Day so be sure and leave a birthday message in the comments section and try and get to the Blue Note Jazz Club this Saturday Night for GORDON CHAMBERS ANNUAL BIRTHDAY MASTERJAM
He may even play a song he talks about in this video!
Please visit http://gordonchambers.com/ to find out where he will be next.
I’m going to post a playlist of some of Gordon Hits in the comments section soon.

I’ll Show You Mine Episode 3 – Tracy Bonham
On this day, “The 2nd Annual Storm of the Century” I thought it would be a good day to post Episode 3 of my I’ll Show You Mine series. This time my friend and fellow Berklee College of Music alumnus was gracious enough to sit with me and discuss her violin. Which she thinks could be a Josef Klotz , and reminds me that it’s not so important as where the instrument came from as it is what you do with it.
What did not make it in to this video was Tracy’s story on how she was about to leave for rehearsals to play at Paul McCartney’s 70th birthday celebration and why RAM is one of his best albums. What other rock & roll violinist are making noise now that she fond of. And why she won’t shop at a classical violin store. I will post those later.
Thanks TB!
