According to Adweek. The 2008 Honda Civic will have a branded widget that includes new videos from Sony BMG artist such as Christina Aguilera, Dido, and Alicia Keys ( aren’t these all the same artist?). Good for Sony to get that alternate revenue stream. You can’t be mad at that. But if the Honda Civic is trying to add some hip factor to their product why wouldn’t they take it to the streets? Like Scion? It seems this partnership is Honda saying they want to be hip and then not doing any research as to what that is. Avril Lavigne video’s on a site will not make me or anyone want a Honda Civic any more unless I wanted the damn car to begin with. They are popular cars, are they not? It seems they could a have been a bit more creative in selecting the type of marketing and promotion. And more daring with the type of artist.
However, I do imagine driving the 2008 Honda Civic to be the automotive equivalent to one of the Gray’s Anatomy montage’s.

New Radiohead vs. Bobby Brown
I don’t know which to write about. Both are so very important to me.
Radiohead albums always challenge but this time around free of any major label obligations they allow fans to pay what they see fit for the download of the album. Reuters Radio Head Article
Great for them because (1)all the $$$ goes directly into their pockets (2) They don’t need the $$$ (3) Making albums have just become a promotional tool for acts to get fans to come to the tour. (Wasn’t Prince doing this like 10 years ago?) .
Also Now that it’s in vogue Nine Inch Nails is pulling the same trick with their next album.
Without saying what I paid for In Rainbows. Upon 1st listen. They remain very true to the Radiohead fan-base. This record is more OK Computer and less cinematic than Kid A and Amnesia. Which is cool with me because I prefer getting directly to the rock.
As for Bobby Brown, Bobby please get better soon and I know “it ain’t about nothing else”. Some of us are waiting for another New Edition reunion.
