Destroyer- “Kaputt” Video
I watched this ENTIRE video not knowing what to expect. When you hear a act called Destroyer and a song called Kaputt you should not anticipate solo Bryan Ferry like synth arpeggios circa 1985 and an American Apparel commercial like opening. But there is is. And it’s good. The video directed by Dawn Garcia is a throw back to the golden age of music videos. There are scantily clad girls, nerdlinger type hero that adolescent boys behind their keyboards ( qwerty or Juno-60) can identify with. A mysterious old man lost in the desert, pyramids and a blue whale falling from the sky ( which I can only imagine is a nod to Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy). All good.
Dawn you need some Union Of The Snake type budget for your next video.
